Fingers chilled while in gloves and toes numb despite wooly socks and boots, we navigated Cherokee Park in Louisville, spotting Garlic Mustard and pinching it, roots and all, from the soil. Traversing the park with the Olmsted Park Conservancy, our movement sustaining our warmth, we hunted the invasive plant, finding along asphalt paths, where the ground had hardened, resulting in a few snapped roots. We collected trash, remnants of a recent party, before removing vines that were threatening to strangle the trees.
