Mucked stalls at the Serenity Horse Rescue. Cold weather prevailed, but we warmed up while working, raking through shavings. The horses, happy to be out of the elements, watched interested as we worked stall-by-stall, isle-by-isle, through the barn. Tim mandated we ate at Skyline chili, which was a pleasant change from typical fast food (though we haven't eaten much fast food). While driving out of Ohio, we hit 100 hours in the car, during which time we have covered a little over 4,000 miles.

Unfortunately you didn't stay lomg enough to witness the horses being starved, abused, neglected, etc. As a volunteer during that time, I didn't see you there but you should know I ak no longer a volunteer b/c of the things I witnessed. Please reaearch the rescues you visit to make sure they are reputable. This one is NOT. they have been investigated many times but the county they reside in has horrible anial abuse laws so nothing is ever done. The rescue president has a comfirmed hlcriminal history a mile long. Monies donated do NOT go to the horsescare but in HER pocket!
