Snow fell on Oklahoma City as Tim and I weeded the arid dry mountain inside the Myriad Botanical Gardens. Stepping gingerly between plants dotting the soil, we pulled deep-rooted weeds, and cleared the clover cover. Beautiful and lush, we had a birds-eye-view of the garden, and the movie that was being filmed there that day. That afternoon found us in the prop house, dislodging donated orchids from their plastic pots, clearing the soil and decaying wood chips from their roots, and repotting them in clay pots with fresh wood chips. We walked to the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial, slowly walking through the gates of time, acknowledging every chair between 9:01 and 9:03.
