Day 29 - Wisconsin - Project Concern Cudahy

Custard! Why has no one ever said anything before! Frozen custard – we are never to eat ice cream again! Stayed with a friend of a friend, her wonderful family, two wonderful dogs, and a quiet bunny. Early morning found us playing a board game with the youngest son, eyes drowsy, but interest peaked, a puppy wandering past and flopping into our respective laps. Served at Project Concern – Tim sorting and stacking food in the pantry area and me sorting donated baked goods and clothing (not together, of course). Put sorted clothing items on the rack, organizing by classification (women’s shirts, women’s pants, men’s jackets, children’s cloths) and then by color. Shared a meal with the staff and volunteers. Talked about the 40 year history of the organization, how donations of items and foodstuffs have increased in the last year, despite the economy.
