Day 27 - Michigan - Capuchin Soup Kitchen

Ate Michigan cherries and dark chocolate while swapping stories with old friends, relocated to Michigan from New Hampshire. Arrived at the wrong Capuchin location - we were meant to spend the day at the soup kitchen, but arrived at the warehouse facility. Warmly welcomed, we joined a number of people from a local company, packing boxes with staples for 8 to 10 meals for a family of 4. One box grits, two cans corn, one bag red beans, one box spaghetti, one can tuna, two cans green beans, two cans peaches, one box cake mix… Drove through an urban art exhibit and over to the Canadian border to spot geese and our neighbor to the north. Examined a tree encrusted in ice - as we drove away, observed a child throwing rocks at it, trying to shatter the ice.
